On 20.03.2007, the Commission directed the Distribution Licensees to stop bill collection through e-seva centres with effect from 01.04.2007 viz., Directive No.11 of the Tariff Order. However, the Distribution Licensees filed review petitions before the Commission stating that the competent authority of e-seva has accepted to reduce the service charge from Rs.5/- to Rs.2/- per service for the electricity bills collected through e-seva from 01.04.2007 and therefore, requested the Commission to permit them to collect electricity bills through e-seva centres. Copies of petition(s) can be obtained from the offices of C&MD of the Distribution Company concerned, on payment of charges for duplication.
Comments / suggestions on the request of the Distribution Companies to amend / waive Directive No. 11 may be sent to the Secretary, APERC on or before 25.08.2007 to the above mentioned address. The Commission will hold a hearing on the review petitions filed by the Distribution Licensees at 11.30 a.m. on 03.09.2007 in the Court Hall of A.P.Electricity Regulatory Commission. Persons who are desirous of being heard by the Commission in person may mention so in their written response to this notice and attend the hearing on 03.09.2007. No further notice is required for attending the hearing.
