Licensing
APERC derives its power to grant licenses for transmission and supply of electricity
in the State of Andhra Pradesh through Section 15 of the A.P. Electricity Reform Act, 1998.
The Commission has issued licenses to APTRANSCO and the four DISCOMS.
- License issued to APTRANSCO on 31.01.2000. Download.
- Distribution & Retail Supply License issued to APTRANSCO on 31.01.2000. The license ceased w.e.f. 01.04.2001. Download.

APERC has the power to grant exemptions to certain entities from having a license for supplying electricity
under section 16 of the AP Electricity Reform Act, 1998.
